@ougoah Why? Why would you write an essay on Justin Bronk's ramblings?
Bronk has adapted his thinking FAR more than many other military watchers. He's views have been on the conservative side throughout this time on China but with this latest one, the snapshot of his views are slightly more accurate than before.
So what? He's only slightly less idiotic now, should we throw him a party? Why is he worth paying attention to?
On J-20 We don't know enough to properly evaluate his opinion although Justin Bronk given credentials would have access to more and possibly better intel than we do here.
No, he most certainly does not. He's just a low level think tankie nobody. Even if he had access his opinions would still be garbage because Western intelligence agencies are garbage. These people still can't understand the J-20's primary role
despite AVIC putting it on a placard. It's literally impossible to be more blinded by bias than them.
J-20 is clearly less stealthy from the rear and possibly slightly more from the side due to ventral fins.
Clearly? You'd have to explain "clearly" because I don't see why. Perhaps you can do radar scattering plots in various bands for the J-20's rear in comparison to the F-22/F-35 to demonstrate this. The only argument I can buy is that the AL-31 equipped J-20s have slightly higher returns because of the lack of nozzle serrations, but that's as far as it goes. That's not the case for the WS-10C.
As for the ventral fins, how many characteristic angles do you think they add to the J-20 planform?
Top and bottom and also slightly less stealthy due simply to larger surface area with all factors equal but all factors are probably not.
RCS is not dependent on size. Compare the RCS of a B-2 to a fourth gen aircraft, or even a fifth gen fighter.
