Yeah, more precisely it seems to be around 10.7 m in diameter. That appears to be slightly smaller than KJ-2000 dish in diameter. Though, of course, the radar antenna inside is longer than ones in the KJ-2000's dish.

Hm, I'd have thought KJ-20 would have a larger antenna than the E-7
In total area it's probably larger. E7 main MESA antenna is not very big. approx 5.5 by 1.8 meters. So it's a bit taller, but definitely a lot shorter.
As it seems, for the first time the JASDF met one of the new Y-9FQ (High New 15) next generation ASW aircraft and they seem to be a bit surprised!
I am confused. Is there any information on the different serials the Y-8JZ GX-8 has carried? I think SCRAMBLE didn't get the serials right, and from what I've seen of satellite images of various PLAN bases the GX-8 has a lot more than just 5 serials from 20-24
From what I know, all three sectors of the PLAN airwings operate the GX-8, how come only 5 planes of the same detachment been shown? The northern airwing operated serials 9201 to 9241 and was rebranded to 20-24. How come the Eastern Theatre Detachment has GX-8 no.20 stationed at their airbase? This has stopped making sense

I wonder what's happening with KJ-700. A lot of time has passed now and there's still not a lot of news on that. It's as if it was an extremely limited adaption into service. Why even make a few prototypes if you're gonna put a single airframe into service? Or is this again a matter of very strict opsec, with us just not getting any further info or images, even though maybe even several airframes have so far been put into service?
