update on the ZDK-03

was seen flying over Karachi area, its now said that the 4 ZDK-03 AWACS aircraft will be based with No.4 Sqaudron at Masroor air force base, previously it was just a search and rescue sqaudron but now has also a AWACS stationed there

this is in the South and no doubt will be patroling over the Indian Ocean and together with anti-ship missile equipped JF17 will provide a good naval arsenal for PAF, i think the timing is perfect cus we seen JF17 test anti-ship missiles few months ago and ZDK-03 is arriving as we speak

Erieye AWACS are based in Kamra in the North of the country, so looks like we have a North/South split with AWACS, 4 more for middle of the country would be nice!!! more ZDK-03 i would like to guess

any data about her radar,her detection range against fighter aircraft and cruise missile.

Does ZDK-03 have rotating array instead of static array, because the pictures on the net seems to have the center strip at different angles in different pictures? Having two back to back array rotating means a larger array trading range against scanning speed and tracking.

Looks like something close to a AS 532 (Horizon) Cougar battlefield surveillance radar system to me.

in 2006 pakistan request the purchased up to 96 rockwell collin link-16 terminal to retrofit existing F-16 fleet,this could means that the ZDK-03 JTIDS are specailly design to operate same frequency as USAF link-16.
