China now has so many special mission aircraft I guess it cab afford to station a dozen of these on the South China Sea islands

btw Australia has deployed its P8 units to South China Sea, what is Australia doing there ?

anyway China also has the right to station these advanced units in SCS

no I think it was from last RAN P8 documentary on CNN

Unless Australia has a forward base, it is not likely this is feasible.

It is about 2000 miles from Australia's Northern coast to the Spratly Islands. P8's ferry range is 4500 nautical miles. That leaves about an hour of patrol time. Not sure if RAN's P8 has mid air refueling capability.
