Word on the street is that the 3rd ZDK-03 is due to be handed to the Pakistan air force soon, a team from Pakistan is in China for the hand over
Interesting...but there is nothing new in that article in terms of pictures that we haven't already seen.It is said that JZY-1 carrier borne AWACS demonstrator has made her maiden flight last year.
Well it is the only one that has a radar mounted in that fashion.Interesting that the Y8 is the only one with a big search radar.
AWACS program Chieft engineer next gen. of AWACS will emphasis counter stealth capability.according to the article F-22 stealthness allow F-22 to attack KJ-2000.
back issue of air international. during the 80's USAF stage mock combat a between F-119 and E-3A.the E-3A was escorted by 4 F-15A. but F-119 manage to "shoot down" E-3a 15 times.with out being detected by f-15A or AWACS.
during the desert storm, E-3C radar operator complain that they unable to detect F-119 Nighthawk.forcing F-119 to carry reflector.
it is likely that PLAAF also stage similiar mock combat between J-20 and KJ-2000.
Since the 1980s there has been a question about the F-19 designation and rumors of a never admitted to fighter, developed by the Lockheed skunk works, that was operational in very limited numbers.I think you mean the F-117 because there is no such thing as F-119 unless you're talking the turbofan. Also F-117 AFAIK do not carry AAMs, guns etc nor does it have external pylons so I'm not sure how it would shoot down anything. If someone fashion an external pylon for the F-117s to carry AIM-9s than for sure AWACS would detect it since the external pylons would not be stealthy.
As to the general statement of your post I do agree that the USAF did use the F-117s in exercises against AWACS and I do remember reading somewhere about the E3s not seeing them on screen.
