The Saudi Navy has shown interest in Korean submarines..​


The Royal Saudi Navy (RSNF) decided to introduce submarines for underwater surveillance and response to warships in the Persian Gulf and the Red Sea. Hanwha Ocean was honored for its submarine construction technology by signing a contract with the Defense Acquisition Program Administration to build the third ship, the 3,600-ton "Jang Bogo Ⅲ Batch 2" submarine, last December.

We signed a memorandum of understanding with the National Industrial Development Center (NIDC) at the World Defense Show held in Riyadh, witnessed by our President of Defense Industries and the Minister of Industry of Saudi Arabia. We hope it will be beneficial for both countries.
