I see that the weapons embargo will remain in place for 5 years. That's ridiculous! So, the UN denies Iran the right to defend itself? I'm disappointed that the Russians and Chinese would allow this! Oh well, time for Russia to undermine the French Rafale deal with India. The Su-30MKI is such a better fit!

Giving sophisticated weapons to Iranians is same as giving them to Hezbollah. That's why.

Iranians are also very anti-western so terror campaign against western citizens is taken to equation.

Russia to deliver Iran’s S-300 soon: Lavrov

Russia says it will “soon” deliver Iran’s S-300 surface-to-air missile defense system.

“Preparations for the delivery are underway and the deal will be effected soon,” Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov told reporters following a meeting with his Iranian counterpart, Mohammad Javad Zarif, on Thursday.

Obama is doing his best to make US weaker globally. I bet Saudis are going to place order for nuclear weapons to Pakistanis so they are ready when Iran tests their first weapon... that is what i would do anyhow if I were a Saudi.
Iran is more powerful without nuclear weapons than with them. And Pakistan is not in a position to deliver nuclear weapons to Saudi Arabia, even after SA payed for the development of them.

Putin says world can breathe a sigh of relief after Iran deal

MOSCOW (Reuters) - Russia's President Vladimir Putin said on Tuesday that the six powers that reached the Iranian nuclear deal made a firm choice in favor of stability and cooperation.

"The world can now breathe a sigh of relief," Putin said in a statement on the Kremlin website.

"Despite attempts to justify scenarios based on force, the negotiators have made a firm choice in favor of stability and cooperation."

Putin added that the deal will help Russian-Iranian civilian nuclear cooperation and will contribute to combating terrorism in the Middle East.

Hezbollah need good weapons to defend Lebanon against Israeli aggression but that doesn't include aircraft.

They will be more likely to attack Israel (as they always do) now when their sponsor get's more money and as far I know Iran still thinks that Israel doesn't have right to exist.

Iranian state television is quoting Ali Akbar Salehi, the head of the country's nuclear program, as saying that the deal with world powers respects his country's "red lines."

Pakistan hopes news of a deal over Iran's contested nuclear program will help it complete a gas pipeline linking it to the Islamic Republic.

Iran's state-run news agency is quoting the vice chairman of the Islamic Republic's parliament as lauding his country's nuclear negotiators.
IRNA is reporting Mohammad Hassan Aboutorabifard thanked the members of Iran's nuclear negotiation team for their effort to protect the country's interests.

Israel's prime minister says a nuclear deal between Iran and world powers is a "bad mistake of historic proportions."
Benjamin Netanyahu said Tuesday that an accord with Iran will allow it "to continue to pursue its aggression and terror in the region."

An Israeli Cabinet minister says a nuclear deal between Iran and world powers gives the Islamic Republic a "license to kill."

Germany's main business lobby group is welcoming the Iranian nuclear deal, which it says could ultimately lead to a quadrupling of German exports to Iran.
The Federation of German Industries' chairman, Ulrich Grillo, said modernizing Iran's oil industry could offer "major market opportunities" for German machinery makers. He also pointed to the auto and chemical industries, the health sector and renewable energy as areas where German firms could do business.

Hope to see Germany-Iran friendship reach new heights.:)

People act as if Israel is some helpless little lamb, it is in fact the biggest, baddest wolf in the neighbourhood.

Lets not forget Israel is a nuclear power, which is the fundamental chief reason Iran would be interested in nukes.

The correct approach should have been to use this as an opportunity to disarm Israel of its illegal nukes (if Iranian nukes are illegal, Israeli ones are just as much so).

Had that been on the table, I am sure Iran would be agreed to any inspection regime anyone could think of and still have a happy grin on its face, and then no one in the region would have any reason or justification to want nukes.

So long as Israel have nukes, others will desire them as well.

Its as simple as that.

I agree that Iran probably will continue to secretly develop nuclear weapons for that reason.

This deal addresses the symptoms of the problem rather than the root cause of it.

If America had any vision or its leaders were not crippled by the Israeli lobby, it should have pressed for Israeli disarmament while extending Israel America's nuclear umbrella (which in effect it enjoys already anyways), as well as any other security guarantees necessary to safeguard the continued existence of the Jewish state.

These are going to be very decent vessels displacing over 1,800 tons. Probably at least a 76mm gun, VLS Barak-8 anti-air missiles, eight Harpoon or other SSM, helo pad and hanger, very strong AESA radar, etc.

They will upgrade all of their Sa'ar 4.5 and Sa'ar 5 vessels, and then build these four larger vessels, which will be an Israeli version of the K-130.

Here's how the Sa'ar 6 will look:
...based on the German K-130 design:

Of course the K-130 has a RAM launcher fore and aft where the Sa'ar 6 will have VLS for Barak-8.

A very decent Brown Water Navy with also 3 future Saar 72 Corvettes very well armed in more the 8 Saar 4.5 remains.
Particularity SSK used for nuclear deterrence mission with CM Popeye Turbo.

Almost all boats homeported to Haifa,
3rd Flotilla : 31, 32, 33 Miss Boats Sqns 3 x Saar 5 and majority of 8 x Saar 4,5
7th Subm. Flotilla : 3 x Dolphin, 1 x Dolphin II

And to Eilat : a detachment with some Saar 4,5
