Chinese must care about the war. If our largest ally loses, we are in serious trouble. I shudder to think of being surrounded by the Quad and a hostile Russia in 2024. I hope the odds of this happening are remote but we need to prepare for the worst and do our best to prevent the worst from happening. I can think of no better way to start in preventing the worst then to request the Pakistani government to stop the ammunition shipment.
You will have problems if you start supplying weapons. You will become outcasts, just like the Russians today. And it will be a life sentence. Respect and mutual cooperation will disappear. Don't repeat Russia's mistakes

both EU/US technically entered in recession. Russia type sanctions are not possible. China basically runs the global economy.
That is a dangerous assumption. The Western media is powerful. The New York Times will do things like splash a giant picture of a dead Ukrainian family on the front page. They will whip people into a frenzy against Russia...and anyone else. The media could persuade them they are part of the fight against evil and need to tolerate high inflation for years. There is good reason we are afraid to extend major aid to Russia. We are the second most powerful country on earth but we are a distant second. And the hegemon has a huge alliance system that totals 60% of world GDP. We must be realistic about our relative strength, patiently build up our strength, and then surprise people when the time is right.

I was horrified by the news. The Chinese government should ask for a huge favor of the Pakistani government and put a stop to the shipment. The US/UK/Poland plan is to keep on supplying Ukraine with ever increasing amounts of weapons/mercenaries/aid to drag the war on for years and bleed Russia. The Russian state could collapse after years of being weakened by war and several rounds of conscription call ups. If a pro-Western government emerges in Moscow the aftermath, we are in serious trouble. The Quad plus Russia. I don't even want to think about such a strategic disaster but the planned Pakistani shipment to Ukraine forces us to confront worst case scenarios and intervene for our own sake. Chinese diplomacy and military contacts must communicate to Pakistani counterparts the gravity of worst case scenarios for Chinese security and get the Pakistani government to stop this.

Was an attempt by rogue indian soldiers to start a war, (some injun officers were Court Marshalled on the down low, after an investigation) there was immediate contact down through the Directorate of Military Operations hotline to inform Pakistan).

... which Tom Clancy novel did you steal this from?

Missile was tracked all the way, it was decided to not shoot it down as it could have caused it veer off into populated areas. The Indians informed that it had no warhead.

Wait... so in this movie, this missile is fired by a rogue group of soldiers and is meant to strike a target important enough to start a war and yet it had no warhead? And the Indians (knowing all of this) informed Pakistan that this happened during the flight time of the missile, and yet weren't able to stop the launch in the first place?! And all this time, we could've shot the missile down, but we didn't, because we trusted the Indians when they said their missile has no warhead ?!!!

Wow.... now that's a good movie. When is it coming out??

Expensive Chinese consumer drones should be blocked from being shipped to Europe to help Russia. I think it is a separate subject. Pakistan should not ignore China's security interest in Russia not losing the war and assist China by working out a fair deal for Pakistan in exchange for halting any export artillery ammunition, which is the main type of firepower used to kill Russian troops.

Russia supplies to both Pakistan and India. I don't see a problem here. Now, if we start doing ally of ally thing then the whole world becomes allied quickly. It doesnt work like that.

There's no way to guard against every possible hypo. If you tried that then nothing can get done. However, the hypo I am giving of a worst case scenario in which Russia collapses in 2024 after being weakened by a prolonged war and then China is surrounded by the Quad and hostile Russia is different from random hypos because the sequence of events is well underway. This doesn't mean the hypo is going to happen but it is more real at this point than a random thought experiment.

Russia has lost a lot of men. If the fighting continues for another 1-2 years and hundreds of thousands of Russian troops are killed then the Russian state may well end up collapsing. The US/UK/Poland have demonstrated they will keep on supplying more advanced weapons to Ukraine every time Russia manages to gain ground and momentum (e.g. announcement this week by UK of sending Challenger tanks and a few Apaches after most recent Russian victory). So when the sequence of events leading to a hypo is actively in play then everyone had better be paying attention and do everything within grasp to stop it from happening. Anything less is burying one's head in the sand.

LAHORE: Former Air Chief Marshall Sohail Aman Sunday said Pakistan could have taught India even a bigger lesson during the Pulwama crisis but it displayed restraint as an escalation of the tension was not an objective.

He was delivering a lecture at the Nazriya Pakistan Trust which was the first of a series of “Quaid e Azam Leadership Lectures” launched by the trust devoted to promoting the vision and philosophy of the founding fathers of the nation. Sohail Aman spoke of passion and determination as key elements of leadership and added that the Quaid-e-Azam proved through creation of Pakistan that “nothing is impossible”. He said Pakistan’s superior strategy and decisive leadership had humbled India during the ‘post-Pulwama crisis’ in February 2019, when “we had eight Indian aircraft within our range, with electronic warfare tracking their every move and we could have taught them a bigger lesson, but we didn’t want to escalate.

Terming ex-ACM Sohail Aman an authentic Pakistani hero, Senator Mushahid Hussain, Vice Chairman of Nazriya Pakistan Trust (NPT), said the Quaid-e-Azam through his leadership based on character, courage and commitment had set a unique example which inspired Muslims and led to the struggle which created Pakistan. “Thanks to the Quaid-e-Azam and the founding fathers, we are today living as free citizens of a free country,” Mushahid Hussain said, underlining that the nation must honour its heroes who are role models for the people of Pakistan. He said the people of Pakistan had guts and the spirit but they were let down by a weak leadership.

He lauded Sohail Aman for building a modern fighting force in the form of the Pakistan Air Force, which gave a befitting reply to Indian aggression in Balakot in February 2019, which was Pakistan’s finest hour, along with the nuclear tests in May 1998.

Presiding over the meeting, NPT Senior Vice Chairman Mian Farooq Altaf talked about various attributes of the Quaid-e-Azam’s leadership, his impeccable integrity and honesty, and uncompromising stand on Pakistan, adding, “the Quaid gave all his property to educational institutions and his family derived no benefit from the creation of Pakistan.” Conversely, today he warned against “worshipping power and money”, as character is more important than these worldly material possessions. Other speakers said Quaid’s leadership based on character, courage and commitment is the key to Pakistan’s turnaround in the future.
