So it seems to be Pakistan Air Force is going to field around 12 AEW/AWACS. That's 6 Erieyes and 6 ZDKs.

Probably yes, but Erieyes & upcoming KJ-500s will be used for East & Western theaters ..... while other 2 ZDK-300s will be move & join other 2 already based at Masroor base for PN duties (under PAF cover or as an individual air arm of PN, dont know????) ...

ZDK-03 are a different aircraft to KJ-500. I was under the impression that Pakistan Air Force was going for further procurement of ZDK-03s. If what is being stated is correct. Then it would seem that Pakistan Air Force will have 3 types of AEW/AWACS in its inventory. ZDK-03s, Erieyes and KJ-500s. Unless of course what you are saying is plausible That the ZDK-03s (four aircraft) would be dedicated to Pakistan Navy, whereas 6 Erieyes and a further 6 KJ-500s would for the rest of Pakistan's air space. Which does seem to make more sense in the end. Considering the importance of CPEC, it is only logical to conclude that the entire fleet of ZDK-03s would be dedicated for Pakistan Navy.

And yes, it may well be that Pakistan Navy take control of the ZDK-03s. Which could be an indication (in-sha-Allah) that Pakistan Navy would one day operate it's own fighter squadrons.
