Kim Jong Un visited the Korean People's Army Air Force Command on the morning of November 30 to mark Airmen's Day
Does anyone know on what airbase these photos have been taken ? Where is the Korean People's Army Air Force Command ?

when Kim Jong Un makes his visits/inspections it seems like he asks us to always pay attention to every detail, since he always shows something interesting

North Korea could try to make a very light acrobatic jet aircraft with comparable thrust to weight ratio to MiG-15.

TRDD-50 / 36MT weight is 82kg with 450kgf thrust at most and fuel consumption of 315kg per hour at maximum power.
In total turbofan with fuel tank and connecting pipes along fuel would at most be 410kg in weight.
Without fuel the empty weight of those three combined is at 95kg.
Consider very light jet with maximum weight of 1800kg if powered by two miniature turbofan engines.
980kg for rest of aircraft, ejection seat would be likely 80kg and with pilot 160 at most thus 820kg is for rest of airframe.
Total empty weight of aircraft would be at 1090kg and considering pilot that is 1170kg at very most.
Thrust to Weight ratio 0.5 when full and 0.76 empty with pilot.

At very least then hourly fuel consumption of such would be 1/5th of MiG-15 and good basis to start from small scale and gradually bigger.

Yes, it is an option and possibly in a twin-engine version, a trainer could be created with the dimensions for example like the Fouga Magister CM-170 which was powered by 2 Turbomeca Marboré IIA turbojets of 3.9 kN (400 kgf) and the Hispano Aviación HA-200 Saeta and the Morane-Saulnier MS.760 Paris I flew with the same engines, then certainly with a construction profile of the aircraft closer to current standards

Does anyone have any good recent photos of the North Korean MiG-23ML ?
Are they still in service ?

All of those are much heavier aircraft and there is very light jet aircraft with 1850kg MTOW that can carry 5 people for long distances.

interesting, a modern reissue of the HE-163.
but I was thinking of something similar to the ATG Javelin equipped with 2 Williams FJ33 turbofans, which in truth FJ33 is almost twice as powerful as the RDD-50/36MT

here you can evaluate the dimensions of the aircraft

But going back to the aircraft in that famous satellite photo, they seem like something larger in size

Javelin as an aircraft is clearly designed to look edgy and not practical as if there was aero race league for a 6000lbs aircraft category.
