Sea based Hwasal apparently, being tested from a Corvette

I like that development, kinda shows NK understand the potential of Cruise missile. See if they try to make air launched version
finally, good quality photos of the Amnok-class light frigate, including the stages of missile launches, but apparently, these are Khwasal-1 or Khwasal-2 cruise missiles, and not the North Korean version of the Kh-35, as previously assumed

It can be noted that at least 2 canisters for missiles are positioned in the place where the launch was carried out, observing the characteristics of the superstructure it is possible to hypothesize the presence on board of at least 4 cruise missiles.

apparently the news follow one another. or at least an image of a naval unit previously seen only from satellite appears, from the photo it is noted that this ship should have an ASW mission. Smaller ship than the Amnok class, on the bow you can see an RBU-6000, then 2x 14,5mm (gatling type), 1x6 MANPAS, then what look like chaff/flare rocket launchers, and finally you can see what should be a 30 mm gatling type . If it is an ASW vessel, it is possible that there are also torpedo tubes for ASW weapons

I have always wondered why they did not install the new 76mm naval gun they displayed in the museum.
If cruise missiles are not considered, the combat effectiveness of this warship may not be as good as 056A.

from the satellite photos it seems that the other Amnok class frigate has what looks like the 76/62 on board, I think that on this ship this old 100 mm gun is a temporary installation waiting for the 76/62 to become available (probably in the version with stealth dome), in the past there was hypothesis of a collaboration with Iran to locally produce the Fajr-27 (clone of the 76/62 by Oto Melara).
However Kim Jon Un had himself photographed next to what is referred to as a 76/62 (stealth dome) and when he does this next to a weapon system, that means it is available for production.

Returning to the Amnok class light frigate, I assume that the hatch indicated with the white arrow is opened during the launch of the 2 missiles that depart from the opposite side, this is to let the flame of the boosters escape outside the ship during launch.

the same hatch is present on the other side.

having noted the dimensions and position of these hatches and the dimensions of the cruise missile canisters, I believe that there are 4 cruise missiles available on board.

I personally believe that the basic support structure where this obsolete artillery is installed on the Amnok class frigate (661) has already been built to house the 76/62 Oto Melara clone, perhaps the one with a stealth dome, as soon as it is available.
Here is a comparison with that of the Iranian frigate Sahand 74
