I am wondering how NK could support it (maintenance and operating cost) ?

And it is quite a force ... better than outside top 20 countries
For number 650 it is the 6th Air service in the World after USAF, China, Russia, India, USN Aviation and the 5th country but obsolete to 90 %...

Yes but I bet they'll expect China to contribute troops to help South Korea to take over the North.

Thanks for posting it for fun.

Hong Hyun-ik, the researcher quoted by the article, is hilarious. LOL

The possibility that a third party could move on North Korea
Correction, Not a but TWO.

Creating a buffer zone [against refugees] would be the most natural justification," for Chinese troop deployment, Hong said.
He forgets that there is a treaty of security, a even better justification.

The analyst recommended the United States and South Korea, with support from the United Nations, take countermeasures against Chinese intervention
With China welding a veto?
If I am not mistaken, the last UN mandate to US and her allies were to expel NK from SK, NOT to occupy NK.

These kind of "researchers" are just entertainers.

Hey Check out these North Korean Special Forces pictures, take notice of their equipment. It's not top notch, but it's the best I've seen come out from them up to date.

North Korea Tested Nuclear-Capable Medium Range Ballistic Missile – Photos, Videos

North Korea announced on Monday it had successfully test-fired a medium- to long-range ballistic missile on Sunday.

The missile known as “Pukguksong-2″ flew 500 km before crashing in the Sea of Japan. The Pukguksong-2 is capable of carrying a nuclear warhead.

Intermediate-range ballistic missiles typically have a range of 3,000 to 5,500 kilometers. US and South Korean sources estimate that Pukguksong-2’s range is up to 2,000 km.

For example, this is enough to target US military sites in Japan.

JMSDF is always on high alert from these missiles in Sea of Japan they never knocked it down ? Why ?
