Someone said this structure has been around since 2017, if you have access to where exactly this is could you check?
Saw comments mentioning the location around Zhenjiang and Nanjing - And that this is likely just a generic test stand which does not necessary conform to any specific ship design.

Well, that structure indeed already exists since January 2017, and has been seen rotating throughout the Google Earth timeline since then. The width of the structure base is confirmed to be about 26 meters.
Posted by @horobeyo on Twitter, who said that this site is located at Jurong (between Nanjing and Zhenjiang).
For reference, the width of a 055's superstructure is only around 20m.

Well, one of the suggestions put forth by OP is that "viewing from the perspective of the the antenna array surface area, which appears small relative to the bridge size - This is not a 1:1 scale model test platform structure, and it might have even tested multiple sets of equipment for different ships on this platform, though the appearance happens to resemble the next-generation general-purpose DDG designs in the academic paper (as shown below)."
In the meantime, I think we shouldn't be surprised if the successor DDG-class to the 052Ds have a beam that is near or about 20 meters.

That structure looks to be rather similar to the upper forward superstructure of the 055 DDG, no?
Also, this test and evaluation structure is likely somewhere on a coast of Qingdao, if my memory serves me right.
