That looks pretty sweet! I wish Hisense brought their top offerings to the US, like the bigger U8Ns and their UX series. I'm personally eyeing the TCL QM851G, probably wait for the price drop later in the year. If my wife allows I'll upgrade to the 98 inch version for hopefully ~$5k (MSRP $8K right now). If not then I'll probably do the 85 inch version lol. I need the size to read texts easily as I use it as a monitor too in the living room. 5K dimming zones and 5K peak brightness is just ridiculous. I won't need another upgrade until microled TV's become mainstream.
Hahaha "if my wife allows". Everything depends on the wife huh lol

Talking about DJI, the vast majority of US government agencies such as fire departments and police are still using it, despite being black-listed by the US regime and (inferior but more expensive) domestic alternative are available.

Gene therapy for a form of inherited deafness:

New Gene Therapy Trial Shows Restored Hearing and Speech in Children Born Deaf, Treated in Both Ears

Administering gene therapy in both ears of five children with DFNB9 led to additional benefits compared to previous trial, including sound source localization and hearing in noisy environments.
Key Takeaways

  • A new clinical trial in Shanghai, China, in partnership with Mass Eye and Ear researchers, demonstrated the restoration of hearing in both ears in five children born with autosomal deafness caused by mutations in the OTOF gene.
  • All children gained ability to determine locations that sounds came from and improved speech perception in noisy environments.
  • The trial is the first to provide gene therapy for this form of inherited deafness to children in both ears, and the researchers hope to expand this work internationally.

In a different lifetime i actually trained to become a doctor, and do you know what they were trying to do ? This was during the 2010s, back then the American doctors were trying to patent medical techniques and surgical techniques. To say that the anglo american capitalist grip on medicine and science and pharmacy has gone on for far too long, is an understatement. One day there will be AI doctor and nurse droids who will innovate better and safer medical techniques and drugs and we can hopefully see the end of the barbaric western practice of capitalism above humanity, and usher in that star trek future that China's rise promises.

So far 6 novel drugs developed by Chinese biotech companies have been approved by FDA since 2023. FYI only 53 novel drug approved by FDA last year. This is the beginning of globally competitive nongeneric pharma industry in China. Novel drug development is extremely risky and expensive, hence many Chinese bio startups license their candidates out to large MNCs

World record distance of 5G assisted remote surgery: more than 8,000 km.

Chinese doctor performs telesurgery first with Rome-Beijing procedure

  • Medical team led by Zhang Xu conducts successful remote robotic cancer surgery from Italy on patient in China
A Chinese surgeon has performed the world’s first live transcontinental remote robotic prostate removal – an operation that was carried out in Rome on a patient in Beijing.

The long-distance operation – also known as telesurgery – used a surgical console connected remotely across 8,000km (about 5,000 miles) to a set of robotic arms with the help of a 5G network and fibre-optic connections.
