There has been always this anti-China faction in the US government since the communist took over in China. What they won't dare to mention is China played a significant role against Western colonialism around the world and made the West embrace human rights. The Chinese communists successfully revolting against Western colonialism scared the West that it can happen every where else especially since the West was weaken by WWII and China was actively trying to make that happen. What was one of Nelson Mandela's first foreign trips after being released from prison? To China. Why? Because China was one of the first foreign supporters of Nelson Mandela and the African National Congress while Western countries were amongst the last. They hate China more than the Soviet Union because of it. So the only way the West could stop this revolt was to decolonize but they installed a puppet ruler that always answered to them hence why the West supported so many dictators during the Cold War. They also embrace "human rights" to distract how they supported dictators that did all their dirty work. They embraced human rights so they could control the definition. The West doesn't commit human rights violations. The enemies of the West do so everyone should stay away from them. The same things they say to this very day. Edward Snowden exposed the US is doing everything it accuses China and long before. They want everyone to believe they don't abuse the data they steal but China will. They're nicer criminals that steal other people's data which makes it all right and not a crime. During the Obama Administration, the Pentagon said any country that commits cyber warfare is committing an act of war. What was Stuxnet then? Why don't they just say that laws are only for everyone else and not the West? That's because they would be facing that world revolt again. Because Trump is in office they want to exploit the situation to carry out their anti-China agenda. From reports, Trump is clueless on international affairs. His only understanding comes from whatever is on TV until reality hits him just like with his trade war. China didn't collapse on day one of his trade war like he believed was going to happen. Things are a lot more complicated than what TV tells him. This establishment anti-China faction aren't shooting from the hip. They have a long term agenda to assure US domination so economic trade concerns aren't important to them. Like I've said before, just China existing upends everything they were taught to believe. They recognize that and that's why they have to stop China. But when that may ruin Trump's economy that's when Trump will say something.

But that long-term strategy of US domination doesn't work.

China already has an economy 30% larger than the US in terms of actual output, and which is still growing relatively fast.
The European Union also have an economy comparable in size to the USA.
Then you have the rest of the world which is equivalent to a couple of USAs.

So US domination isn't even feasible today.

But we do have to acknowledge that are a lot of old white men in the USA who are incapable of recognising this.

And by forcing the rest of the world to remove US technology from their products, they are inflicting long-term damage on the US economy and trade, which is the basis of US national power.

This article exposes so many ironies in the West. They are proposing and implementing plans that they accused China is doing.
Government interference in 5G, Subsidies to overcome rivals, exclusion of foreign companies, guang up against rivals, buying foreign companies for their technologies.

How is the future at stake? China will have their internet and US will have theirs. It's because like I said before, there can be only the US's "internet" like there can only be one God. Google is censoring pro-China YouTube videos. Facebook is doing the same with any posts. So who's internet is the hypocrite that cries that they believe in freedom? My most censored comment on the internet is describing the gruesome factual details of the murder of James Bryd Jr. They want to control how it looks to the public because the truth is horrid and they don't want the public to feel bad. Look at the NBA's conflict with China. Defenders of Daryl Morey say he was speaking the truth so he should not be censored at all yet they'll hide the gruesome details over James Byrd's Jr's murder because it makes it a sanitized murder so people don't see the seriousness of it. The only reason why I even post it is because it's in reply to so many complaints about how come Asian racism doesn't get any attention like what happened when James Byrd Jr. was murdered by three white supremacists. Maybe because an Asian didn't drag a black man behind a truck only to stop when there were no body parts left to drag? Asian racism is worse like how the Chinese internet is worse than the American internet. They won't be using China's internet, so what are they complaining about? They want China to be able to only use their internet. The lack of choice in what they say they believe in as a part of the freedoms they love. China won't be crying how Americans aren't using China's internet.

I was thinking recently about all these statistics about how US life expectancy has gone down being used as a campaign issue in running for President of the US? And what are they blaming? It's because they say white males are under attack in society. Suicide rates have gone up like never before. They think they're being blamed for all societal problems. And white males haven't been doing the same to other men...? They portray other males as more likely to abuse and rape women. They're attacking other men's masculinity all the time. Take a look at what they say about Asian men. Yet we have to hear and feel sympathetic for what white men are going through...? It's not like they haven't stopped their assault on other men. Is their media or freer internet talking about that? They're the only ones that are victims of this. Hence why this fight with China over technology is so important. It's about control of the future. It's about control over their masculinity. Technology is going to determine who's on top because whoever controls technology is going to be making all the money. If they're not making the money, they won't be dominant in the world.

I don't know if you've noticed that the National Interest repeats their articles they've published before like it's new. One of them is this story how the US had three of their ballistic missile submarines surface thousands of miles away from China and that supposedly scared China to death. How would China know to be scared? If it's true then they're the ones should be scared since China can track US submarines anywhere in the world. By that logic it's the US that's scared because China has nukes hence why Trump is trying to get China to reduce its nuclear arsenal. If China can track US submarines then watch out for Chinese hypersonic missiles that will destroy them. David Axe wrote this article and I know he reads this forum.
