I wonder how feasible it is to connect Pakistan to China's electricity grid, I mean the Karakoram Highway already exists and is being expanded with the Khunjerab Railway and pipelines etc so it seems a infrastructure trunk is already in progress. If China has extra electricity to export in that region it may be another good way to connect the two countries, and a valuable addition to the Gwadar-Kashgar corridor concept.

Going by the current situation, it will more like that Pakistan exports electricity to China. China is already importing natural gas from its neighbors, the latest being Myanmar. So China may be the investor but building the grid infrastructure will be challenging considering the mountainous terrain.

Our Pakistani friends here may be able to shed more light on this.

I hope this will become more developed as they continue on this unique medical research.

Chinese scientists have successfully tested a self-developed "brain pacemaker", which could radically improve the treatment of Parkinson's disease.

It's being seen as a major breakthrough in Chinese medical technology, in an area long dominated by the US. Developed by Tsinghua University, it's designed to redress electrical imbalances in the brain. An electrode is implanted into a specific area of the brain, and delivers a small electrical current.

The breakthrough by a research team at Tsinghua University is expected to significantly lower spending costs for patients. The device has been patented in both China and the US.

Holy cow I lost it at the last scene when the guy is riding the robot. It's as comical as it is impressive.
