That Reuters article mentioned a couple of times that RISC-V chips were "less powerful" than other chips. This doesn't sound right, as I understand it, RISC-V just has far fewer machine code instructions and so some chip designs can be optimised to do certain tasks even better.China to publish policy to boost RISC-V chip use nationwide
