Huaguang Optoelectronics' "China's first kilowatt-class narrow-linewidth pump source for disk lasers" was selected into the "Shandong Good Achievements Special Report" list​


On January 8, the 2024 Jinan Good Achievements Release and High-value Technology Achievements City Transformation Promotion Conference, co-organized by the Jinan Municipal Science and Technology Bureau, the Organization Department of the Jinan Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China and other units, was held at the Shandong Science and Technology Market. The "domestic first kilowatt-level narrow-linewidth pump source for disk lasers" launched by Shandong Huaguang Optoelectronics Co., Ltd. was selected into the 2024 "Shandong Good Achievements Special Report" list.

Huaguang Optoelectronics has mastered the distributed feedback passive mode locking technology in the full power range and the spectrum narrowing technology of high-power semiconductor lasers, and successfully developed the first kilowatt-level narrow-linewidth pump source for disk lasers in China and achieved mass production. Its performance indicators such as central wavelength, output power, and linewidth have reached the international advanced level, comprehensively enhancing the core competitiveness of China's laser industry.
This award is a recognition and encouragement of Huaguang Optoelectronics' achievements in scientific research and innovation. Huaguang Optoelectronics will take this as an opportunity to further strengthen the deep integration of scientific and technological innovation and industrial innovation, and continuously achieve new breakthroughs in the field of optoelectronics.​

I know this lady. She's known as an exceptionally young and pretty professor at Emory when I was a PhD student there. If she were a little younger, I would have tried my hand! Very happy she chose this route. I know that for someone like her, it would be so very easy to be flattered by all the attention and praise into thinking that nationalities don't matter and she's a global citizen... good thing she's got more brains than that.

A CAS institute in Shenzhen invented a photopyroelectric tweezers (PPT) better and more powerful than the traditional optical tweezers (OT).

Requiring 7 orders of magnitude less luminous intensity, PPT can generate manipulative force 7 orders of magnitude larger than OT can.

深圳新闻网2025年1月9日讯(记者 叶梅)美国物理学家阿瑟·阿什金(Arthur Ashkin)于2018年获诺贝尔物理学奖的光镊(OT),为物理、生物和材料科学等研究提供了颠覆性技术。在过去几十年里,有多次诺贝尔奖与光镊操控技术相关。但传统光镊面临着系统复杂、光损伤、操控作用力小、操控颗粒范围窄、仅适用于透明物体等诸多挑战,严重阻碍其实际应用。

1月9日,记者从中国科学院深圳先进技术研究院(简称“深圳先进院”)了解到,该院医工所智能医用材料与器械研究中心杜学敏研究员团队基于前期的研究基础,自主研制出了新型光-电镊原型系统(Photopyroelectric tweezer,PPT),可实现对不同材质、相态和形状物体的非接触、跨尺度、普适、多功能操控。

该光-电镊能采用比传统光镊小7个数量级的光强,产生比传统光镊大7个数量级的操控作用力,进而成功实现体积范围跨越10个数量级的液滴(1皮升至10毫升)操控,并实现细胞离子通道、单个细胞到细胞聚集体的不同尺度操控,为微型机器人、类器官、组织工程和神经调控等重点前沿科技领域研究提供全新工具和方法,其应用前景广阔。
