China is about to put CENI into service after more than 10 years of planning and construction. CENI a nationwide computer and communication network for testing technologies of the future. It currently connects 173 Chinese cities with fibre optic systems over 34000 km in total length. Future expansions will add 10000 km more for routing redundancy and robustness.

未来网络试验设施CENI是一张覆盖全国、辐射全球的大网,目前已覆盖全国40个核心城市节点以及沿途的133个城市节点,具备了在这173个城市节点接入业务的能力。CENI骨干光缆总长度达到3.4万公里,后续还将新建1万多公里的光缆,持续增强CENI光缆路由的丰富性和基础网络的健壮性。
CENI的一大优势是“微秒级”确定性网络服务能力。不同于传统互联网技术的“尽力而为”,确定性网络能够为用户提供低时延、低抖动、高通量、高可靠的网络传输服务。基于相同的带宽和相同的距离条件,确定性网络下的视频画面更为清晰流畅。在工业智能制造场景中,同样能“稳定发挥”,实现对500公里外的自动导向车实现精准控制,对于超远距离工业机器人控制、超远距离远程手术等应用场景具有重要的借鉴价值和示范意义。
