I remember when Tianhe-1 was the fastest supercomputer 10 years ago you had the common tropes:
1. Just a prestige project, China doesn't have enough academics/applications to support such a supercomputer
2. Just a bunch of nVidia and Intel chips, it's not Chinese technology
3. China is just lying about it
10 years later you simply can't discount things so simply any more.
China now has mass production capacity of cryogenic jacket CICC N50H for fusion reactor that is much more powerful [N50H >1500 MPa vs ~1200MPa alloys in ITER and Korean KSTAR] than the jackets being used on ITER. Produced by CAS and a company called Jiuli.
