After entrusting Acotec Scientific with some manufacturing work in China, Boston Scientific is now looking to build a plant in the country, a person familiar with the matter told Yicai Global.

The location of the factory has not yet been finalized, and Boston Scientific is still weighing the preferential policies offered by various regions, the source said. The US company did not disclose details of the progress of its first production plant in China to Yicai Global.

Boston Scientific and Acotec, a wholly foreign-owned enterprise based in Beijing, signed a framework agreement yesterday to collaborate on research and development, manufacturing, and commercialization over the next three years.

Acotec will provide product manufacturing services for Boston Scientific to reduce its production costs, with transaction amounts of up to USD5 million, USD8 million, and USD10 million for this year, next year, and 2025, respectively. It has not disclosed the specific product categories.

The transaction amount for Acotec to purchase Boston Scientific’s products for sale cannot exceed USD2 million a year from 2023 to 2025, per their agreement.

In some overseas markets, Boston Scientific has exclusive distribution rights for some select Acotec products, with transaction amounts capped at USD20 million, USD50 million, and USD110 million in 2023, 2024, and 2025, respectively.

The framework deal will be discussed and reviewed at the general meeting of shareholders of Massachusetts-based Boston Scientific next month.

Boston Scientific spent USD523 million to obtain up to 65 percent of Acotec shares and became the medical technology firm’s controlling shareholder in February. Acotec has plants in Beijing and Shenzhen, which can produce precision catheter raw materials with a gradually expanding output capacity.

上海交大崔可航课题组在零能耗全季节热控材料研究上取得重要突破​

温度的舒适性对人类至关重要。供暖、通风和空调(HVAC)系统约占我国建筑物能耗的50%,占我国总能耗的20%。同时,温控对于电池储能系统的安全高效运行也至关重要。降低温控的能耗将助力我国双碳目标的实现。另外,航天器在地外轨道运行过程中面临着高温和深冷的极端热工环境,对于热控材料的性能与稳定性有着迫切的需求。发展新型热控材料与节能技术有着十分重要的意义。

近日,上海交通大学材料科学与工程学院崔可航课题组在零能耗全季节热控材料领域取得了重要进展,通过双曲声子极化激元效应和光子回收机制,提出并制备了一种热控斗篷(thermal cloak),在不需要相变、手动翻转或外部能量输入的情况下,实现了夏季的零能耗制冷和冬季的零能耗保温。在实地测试中,热控斗篷在夏季的正午使得新能源汽车车厢和锂电池的温度相对周围环境降低了8.0℃;在冬季的夜间使得车厢和锂电池的温度相对周围环境提高了6.8℃。此外,热控斗篷可以通过纺丝和卷对卷工艺进行大规模制备。由于热控斗篷的调节机制不涉及相变以及任何运动部件,因此热控斗篷具有优良的运行稳定性,适用于户外以及太空环境下的长期被动式温度调控。这项工作实现了零能耗系统热控的范式转变,在建筑节能、电池储能电站、航天器热控等领域具有广阔的应用前景。

热控斗篷由两种具有特定光学和热性能的材料组成(图1),即面向天空的太阳光阻隔红外发射层(solar-blocking infrared radiator, SBIRA)和面向内部空间(建筑物,车辆,航天器等)的全谱反射层(wideband infrared reflector, WIRE)。光阻隔红外发射层为具有双曲声子极化激元效应的全陶瓷超材料织物,在大气红外窗口(7 - 14 μm)具有96.3%的高发射率,并在太阳辐照波长范围内(0.3 - 2.5 μm)具有95.6%的高反射率。同时光阻隔红外发射层的热扩散率比空气还要低一个数量级。这种结构使得材料具有良好的被动式制冷效果,同时有效减少了物体与周围环境的热交换。

构成光阻隔红外发射层的全陶瓷超材料织物具有轻质、柔性、可弯折的特点。该材料在经过中国航天科技集团第八研究院的模拟宇航环境真空热循环测试、航天器振动测试、火焰喷枪燃烧测试、液氮深冷测试、酸碱腐蚀性环境测试后仍然保持光谱性能稳定(如图2所示)。

热控斗篷通过光阻隔红外发射层和全谱反射层的协同作用,在不需要相变、手动翻转或外部能量输入的情况下,实现了夏季的强化辐射制冷以及冬季的有效保温。全谱反射层在整个波长范围(0.3 - 14 μm)具有92.8%宽带反射率,使得此面能够通过反射实现物体的冷热光子的回收。为了测试热控斗篷在户外应用中的实际效果,该研究在新能源汽车上进行了实地测试。两辆同型号的电动汽车,一辆被热控斗篷覆盖作为实验组,另一辆不做任何覆盖作为对照组(图3),分别在夏季和冬季对车厢内部和电池的温度变化和周围环境温度进行实时记录。结果显示热控斗篷在夏季白天使得车厢内温度相对周围环境可降低8.0℃(相对对照组汽车降低27.7℃),在冬季夜晚相对环境温度可提高6.8℃。实验验证了制备的热控斗篷在不同季节的制冷和保温功能的有效性,具有预期的全季节温度调控性能。

Total amount of uranium mineral resources in China is now estimated at 2.8 million tons, a big increase after 10 years of hard work and breakthroughs in exploration methodology. In particular, a 100k ton ore deposit has been found in northern part of the Erdos basin. The Songliao basin has the potential to become the second 100k ton deposit soon.

7月20日上午,中核工业铀矿勘查高质量推进会在内蒙古呼和浩特市开幕,会上发布了近十年我国铀矿勘查成果。《环球时报》记者在会上获悉,近十年来,我国新增的铀矿资源量占我国开展铀矿勘探以来查明总量的1/3,其中优质可采资源量占比超过70%。中国的铀矿地质工作已经完成了传统模式向高质量发展的转型,确保了我国天然铀稳定高效供应,中国核工业发展的饭碗被牢牢地端稳在自己的手里。

“核工业是高科技战略产业,是国家安全重要基石”。天然铀因其是核能发电的重要原料而为公众所知,但与此同时,随着核能技术、放射性医疗技术等原子能技术的发展,铀作为一种重要的战略资源与能源矿产,已成为核工业发展的重要物质基础,其供应链安全对核工业健康发展和“双碳”目标的实现具有重要意义。

“新时代十年来,中国核工业地质局组织了铀矿勘查大会战,铀矿找矿取得了历史性突破。”中国核工业地质局党委书记、局长陈军利介绍称,近十年,中核工业探获一大批铀矿床,形成十大找矿成果,新探获蒙其古尔超大型砂岩铀矿床1个,特大型矿床5个。找矿效率大幅提升,新增铀矿资源中70%为优质可采资源。铀矿基础地质工作程度也显著提高,落实了一批后备勘查基地。铀矿综合勘查能力大幅提升,拥有260余台钻探及配套设备,动态保有每年100万米的综合勘查能力。进一步形成了完整成熟的组织管理体系、专业齐全的人才队伍体系、完备有效的技术标准体系、配套完善的仪器装备体系、海量丰富的信息资料体系。

据《环球时报》记者了解,近十年,中核工业取得的铀矿勘查十项重大成果分别是:

探获了我国首个超大型地浸砂岩铀矿床——蒙其古尔铀矿床,该矿床位于伊犁盆地南缘,具有矿体规模大、连续性好、平米铀量高、开采效益好等特点,创造了我国单孔平米铀量155kg的最高记录。破除“稳定构造斜坡带”成矿理论的束缚,实现了“构造活动强烈区”找矿突破。矿床开发总体可采用CO2+O2地浸采铀工艺,为我国首个千吨级绿色地浸铀矿山产能建设和稳定运行提供了优质资源。

新探获我国首个大型古河谷砂岩铀矿床——巴彦乌拉铀矿床,矿床位于二连盆地中东部,中国核工业二〇八大队创建了“建造间古河谷成矿模式”,大幅拓展了二连盆地铀矿找矿空间。经持续勘查,矿(化)带延伸到芒来一带,整体规模显著扩大,已建成二连盆地首个现代化绿色地浸铀矿山,为我国天然铀保障做出了重要贡献。

铀矿勘查大会战新探获大型砂岩铀矿床——海力锦铀矿床,矿床位于松辽盆地南部。2016年,新发现铀矿产地,2022年实施铀矿勘查大会战,采用“五统筹”组织管理新模式,快速落实为大型铀矿床,是铀矿勘查大会战的典型成果。矿床具有厚度大、品位高、矿化集中等特点,刷新了松辽盆地单孔平米铀量的最高记录,达到了38kg/m2。松辽盆地南部铀矿找矿不断突破,有望落实为我国第二个10万吨级铀矿资源基地。

古河谷深部找矿新突破,探获大型砂岩铀矿床——哈达图铀矿床,矿床位于二连盆地中东部。开辟了古河谷型砂岩铀矿找矿第二空间(由100m至500m),是构造选区、物探联测、钻探验证,综合技术方法找矿应用的典型示范。在内蒙古自治区二连浩特市政府的大力支持下,通过进一步勘查有望发展为特大型规模。

沙漠边缘新探获特大型铀矿床——塔木素铀矿床,该矿床位于巴丹吉林沙漠边缘。核地矿人克服沙漠和戈壁覆盖区恶劣自然环境等重重困难,实现了复杂地区铀矿找矿新突破,矿床深部及外围仍具有很好找矿前景,下一步中国核工业地质局将努力提升装备能力,继续向沙漠腹地挺进,探索找矿新空间,有望将塔木素矿床发展成为超大型规模。

“向地球深部进军”探获我国最大的热液铀矿床——棉花坑特大型铀矿床,瞄准广东诸广山南部棉花坑老矿山“找矿第二空间”持续发力,实现深部找矿重大突破,深部矿体厚度大、品位高、连续性好,见矿深度超过1000m,矿床规模达到特大型,成为我国规模最大的热液型铀矿床,大大延长了矿山服役年限。

“三新”找矿重大突破——特拉敖包特大型铀矿产地,矿产地位于鄂尔多斯盆地北部,是新时代以来新地区、新层位找矿取得的最大成果,是鄂尔多斯盆地下白垩统发现的首个特大型铀矿产地。白垩系的重要找矿发现大幅拓展了盆地铀矿找矿空间,有望发展为世界级巨型铀成矿带。

此外,《环球时报》记者还在会上获悉,根据最新全国铀矿资源潜力评价预测,我国铀资源总量超过280万吨,这显示我国铀矿资源潜力巨大。铀矿找矿的不断突破充分证明加大投入后优质资源“找得到、采得出”,进一步提振了立足国内保障铀资源供应的信心。

and colleagues at Shanghai Jiao Tong University in China. The new technique could be a key step towards the development of compact, inexpensive alternatives to conventional particle accelerators.


In an LWFA, a dense plasma is created by focusing an intense laser pulse into a gas. As it moves through the gas, the pulse creates a region of alternating electric fields – a “wakefield” – that resembles a water wave that forms in the wake of a moving boat.


By riding these waves, electrons within the plasma can be accelerated to very high energies over very short distances. As a result, this technique shows great promise for developing accelerators that are much smaller than conventional systems. Such compact devices would be very useful for medical and research applications.
Curved plasma channels have been proposed to guide intense lasers for various applications, such as x-ray laser emission, compact synchrotron radiation, and multistage laser wakefield acceleration. Here, a carefully designed experiment shows evidences of intense laser guidance and wakefield acceleration in a centimeter-scale curved plasma channel. Both experiments and simulations indicate that when the channel curvature radius is gradually increased and the laser incidence offset is optimized, the transverse oscillation of the laser beam can be mitigated, and the stably guided laser pulse excites wakefields and accelerates electrons along the curved plasma channel to a maximum energy of 0.7 GeV. Our results also show that such a channel exhibits good potential for seamless multistage laser wakefield acceleration.
