They need to gain technology as much as possible. It is always possible that they can make up a reason and then force a divestment.

Yeah, Kuka is a Chinese company now. I don't think that deal would've been allowed in today's climate. China really got away with a lot of take overs back when Europe was still warm toward China. But realistically, China pretty much got all the techs they need. They are all caught up now. It's a good thing for China that Western countries didn't protect their industries back in the days.

second largest OLED maker in the world. BOE rapidly closing the gap with market leader Samsung. after LED/LCD its time to eat OLED marker share.
Also if you read their stock updates, they are really adding a lot of capacity in the next few years. Ramping up to be the largest in the world everywhere.

It's gotta be scary for the Koreans to see China gaining on them everywhere. Another reason why Korea is getting really anti-China.

Yeah, slow 5G deployment is such a big mistake for America and most of Western world. I'm not saying America necessarily made a mistake to block Huawei. But if they had any good planning, they should've invested harder in their own solution. I mean big cities in America have terrible 5G and it's just bad for productivity. US gov't may be able to keep out Huawei, but there will be other solutions out there that fly under their noses. I can assure you that there is plenty of Chinese made gears in the American network infrastructure.

No wonder the global south is coming to China for digital economy solutions. American allies are paying the price from not being able to use Huawei products.

BOE has taken from 1 percent share in 2016 to 20 percent in 2021 from Samsung in OLED sector. impressive. Samsung already gave up LCD/LED coz of affordable price Chinese firms offers.

now BOE expanding like never before. i m expecting they will overtake Samsung by 2025-26 in OLED.

low to mid end semiconductor race will over soon. Korean firms also suffering in ship building sector.

what else left now..
