Here are some of the videos posted about this unfortunate situation created none other by "capitalism." Do we really need 100 sweaters 200 socks, 100 undergarments, 100 shoes etc to live? While damaging the environment, the people, and the countries we dumped out excesses to and from?I mean yeah, it's also a largely consumer problem that those amount of wasteful companies became so popular, I don't think China is the problem, people are. We just really need ways to at least get rid of the waste instead of sending it off where we don't see it. I.e waste to energy plants.
The Soviet Union was a very prolific sanctioner of industries where they weren't the leader. This is the kind of policy you get from politicians how are completely tech illiterate. AI software is not a thing or at least not something you can restrict. Each company that does their own AI will use their own algos and data set. The big issue stopping US innovation in AI is just all the privacy laws. China is way ahead in putting AI into real world. How do you sanction a country that's way ahead of you?
Quantum computing is another field that's just being carried out mostly by big tech. Each of them have their own research programs on this. None of the tech companies are going to be selling their crown jewell in Quantum computing. Baidu didn't develop Quantum computers with Google's help, lol.
If you read this, Alibaba and Baidu's foray into Quantum computing makes a lot of sense. On top of the hardware portion, writing software that can utilize quantum computing hardware is probably the hardest part.
None of this "banning" even makes sense.
Probably controlling the component export like cryogenic superconductor, optical components, etc.Quantum computing is another field that's just being carried out mostly by big tech. Each of them have their own research programs on this
Big advances from Academician Guo Guancan's group of USTC. Using programmable Photonic Quantum processor to do biomolecule design. That research group already spun-off Origin Quantum.
It's good that Chinese e-commerce is booming, but at the same time I do kinda agree that fast fashion is generating an unfathomable amount of landfill... What happened to clothes that you wear for years and years?
Ever try to donate your used clothes to charity. In the US there are public bins you can go to to donate your used clothes and it looks like a garbage dump of clothes outside and around the bin. And those aren't from SHEIN. They're regular clothes people get rid of. So when they show pictures at garbage dumps of piles of clothes how do they know they all came SHEIN and not just regular clothes people throw away? That's the manipulation because there is no way they can track what clothes from SHEIN to the garbage dump. Now compare that to the Western culture of having to have get the newest electronics every year after they're released. Look at how much toxic e-waste is thrown away by the West and they get mad when non-Western countries reject their e-waste using them as their garbage dump. Here are some of the videos posted about this unfortunate situation created none other by "capitalism." When I say that I find Westerners (regardless of ethnic backgrounds ) are the biggest hypocrites due to their sheer holier than thou nonsense. Those kinds of people happily buy excessively and then exercise their so-called care for the environment by tweeting, Tiktoking, Instagraming their "activism" on this important and serious issue. No difference with their yakking about carbon footprint raging against oil companies, coal etc...while they busy plan their next vacations half-way around the world and back, and or flying to their next destination to protest a politician for using a gas guzzling SUV or some shite like that...
If they truly care about the environment all they need to do to help is BUY LESS = CONSUME LESS = BETTER FOR THE ENVIRONMENT. They won't do it because they wouldn't be able to resist themselves from buying the next new IPhone even though most of these IPhone buyers don't even have a clue on how to fully utilize the features and tech the phone have except for SOCIAL STATUS....the same goes for the clothes we buy, junk food we eat etc...
Bro value for money Jollibee beat Mcdonalds and KFC hands down sorry @Strangelove, Bro you need to put hot sauce on the gravy, I guarantee it will change your mind...lol BUT regarding fast food fried chicken for me Popeye is the best.
