Or you define fusion reactor as anything that can fuse hydrogen atoms to helium atoms without generating any energy, nor sustain any chain reaction? In your definition fusion reactor have been around for many decades.
You know that every Fusion bomb (H bomb) has a fission bomb (A bomb) as a trigger. What are you going to call them? A Neutron bomb has fusion in its explosion, are you going to define it as Hydrogen bomb?
The purpose of the reactor is not for bragging right, but for advancement of technology to serve humanity, for this we need to understand what exactly it is instead of playing words.
