Does the type 99 MBT have fully stabilized main gun? The reason I ask is because makes it look like it doesn't.
That video contains footages of a mobility test for the Type 96. The gun is locked in position and not stabilized at all. Anyways the whole point of the footage is to glorify the Japanese tank while mocking the Chinese tank so you shouldn't take these types of vs. videos, especially those made by people from one of the sides, seriously at all.Does the type 99 MBT have fully stabilized main gun? Ah, I think he means type 98. It does look like one.One of the posters on Youtube pointed out that it might be a "type 89" (possibly talking about type 90 II?), not type 99. It does look like a type 96 to me though.

From that video, I reckon stabilization is active from 1:17-1:21?
I know what you are saying but I think we are getting a bit far ahead of ourselves. Me thinks the Chinese tank was just doing mobility test as LostWraith pointed out and didn't have its stabilizer activated. The terrains and type of maneuovres are basically different. Not exactly a fair comparison. How much of a stabilization can there be if the the tank is going on a terrain of different inclines of let's say around 30 degrees and at the same time having to ensure that the gun doesn't accidentally hit the ground?
