Hello, does anyone know what color is used for the 99A's thermals? Evidence would be helpful too. Thanks
No body can give the answer that you want. Just take it as on par, slightly inferior, or slightly superior, to current 3rd generation thermal sights in performance and specs (including color display modes).

Third-generation military thermal sights on tanks typically support multiple color modes to enhance visibility in different conditions. These modes often include:

  • White Hot – Warmer objects appear white, cooler objects appear black.
  • Black Hot – Warmer objects appear black, cooler objects appear white.
  • Sepia – A brownish tint that can reduce eye strain.
  • Rainbow or Ironbow – Uses a spectrum of colors to highlight temperature differences.
  • Green Hot – A variant that some operators prefer for better contrast.
These sights use dual-band imaging (MWIR and LWIR) to improve target detection and recognition. The exact number of color modes can vary depending on the manufacturer and model.

You do realise all thermals have a wide range of colour palettes to chose from right? Depending on environmental conditions, you will often want to cycle between white hot and black hot. Are you perhaps getting mixed up with IITs, that comes in green and white versions?
