It's actually too large. You can check some internal images. Too many space remains above the head of crews. 99A is as large as western tank but lighter, so less armor.

Don't think it was as large the last I checked. Also, China is evolving from a less developed to a more developed nation so you'll see a rapid rise in average height. It's already evident in recent surveys.

It is in the Chinese People’s Revolutionary Military Museum and open to public now. I‘ve been there not long ago and it was fun to play with, though some information like transmission gear setting was hidden away.

Probably just staged photos to look cool. The real exercise probably not going to be shown.

40 + years of no real battle experiences downgraded PLA back to peasant (soldiers) and office worker(officers)'s army. Better equipments cannot make up to it. So when they do not know how to fight, they act.

Hope they will not see real battle until AI/Robots take over. PLA is not ready for Taiwan for another 20 years.

maybe they can send some troops to aid Russia in the war to gain experience, that is another thought.

Just going with Occams razor, it obviously is more likely its from a staged photoshoot.

Probably done once a year maybe with lots of photos and videos, then drip released over the year.
