The problem is some of these wikipedia editors did it intentionally to troll other people. It's not like they don't know the real answer..... You won't be able to change their mind because the false information is exactly what they wanted out there.

It's really despicable act but nothing you can do about it unless you have the time and patience to keep edit them yourself.

Looks like the article lumps together the Type 98 and 99. If my memory serves I do believe the Type 98 uses the T-72 chassis no?

But as Skywatcher pointed out the Type 99 moved on to use a very similarly shaped (to the T-72) chassis that has different road wheel spacing. Then with the Type 99A/G/A2(?) it uses a chassis that is shaped more like that of the Type 96 but even bulkier.

I looked through the references of the article and rolled my eyes at statements like "the Type 99 has T-72's turret that is box shaped" or "the Type 99 has T-72 hull that is one meter longer". They might as well say a circle is a rectangle without corner.

Anyone can edit the article. An account is not needed. The problem is that correcting the article isn't a one person's job. There are bad editors who will undo the changes with the smallest reason possible. So, if we want to fix the article, we have to work together and coordinate to fight the bad editors. It also helps to find good reference sources about the tank to add to the article, which there isn't any at the moment.
