firstly , I want to explain one thing:the ”99A2“ is not in accordance with the rules of PLA equipment naming rules View attachment 10847.So there is no "99A2" _just 99and 99A(what you call 99A2).

Yes I know it shouldn't be called 99A2 but I've seen so many posts and pics confusing a 99 variant with 99A that I know people aren't going to be mistaken which one when I call it 99A2. That's why I keep using it.

Chief designer for the type 99 tank recently passed away at age 96.
The original design shared similarities to the T72 which was subsequently altered and modified.
