Hi all.

I've been lurking for about 6 months in this forum. Finally registered today to share my views on the Thai crisis. Did a long post on that topic, but it was lost. Now got to redo the post again....:(

Anyway, I'm from Singapore. And I'm interested in current affairs and military affairs (particularly naval and air force issues). I have some military experience (as most male Singaporans do too).

Looking forward to joining in the great discussions on this board.

Hi everyone, my name is Steve, a long time lurker that just decide to join up today. I'm just an amateur wannabe historian, and my grandfather served in the Chinese 180th Division in Korea during the disaster at the Soyang River (Chinese Spring Offensive). I just do a lot of research on PLA (PVA) during the 1950s, so expect me to pop in once in a while in the military history forum.

Greetings to all.

I'm a 62 year-old instructor of English to university sophomores in China who also translates from French and Swedish to English. Translated books and documents cover a wide range of specializations from Ancient Roman history to aeronautical bolt standards, anesthesiology, social networking, public policy, linear pipe tensioners and Michelangelo.

Am basically here out of a childhood interest in airplanes plus deeper interest in China because of my presence here.
