Re: New members introductions - New members Introduce yourselves

Hi,

I have visited this forum before and its a great forum. I myself have served in the Russian military (Russian ground forces) starting from 17 and I served my full conscription time. I really enjoyed serving in the Russian military and the Chinese military is one of my main focal points for military research (Russian and Chinese militaries being my main focus). I will be going back to the Russian military this summer and I hope to share my viewpoints and make more friends on this great forum. Oh almost forgot proud Russian :)

Greetings People

My name is SPC Gonzalez, U.S. Army Reserve. Im from Puerto Rico. I join this forum due lack of peoples who talk about military stuff and have no idea of what they're saying... I read already read couple of themes you guys have in the forum... It's fun to me talk with people who dont necesary share my points of views but respect you. I still 23 Yrs old so I considere myself young probably I learn something from all you guys ;). As maybe some people already figure out my first lenguage it's not english... my teachers were some crazy heavymetal superstars so please forgive my lack of grammar skills, besides I never went to U.S. Army lenguage school at lackland AFB for english tarinning before BCT. I went to Irak but now im back home for fun.

Welcome to the forum! Being a new conscript in the Russian Army must have been tough. Did you serve in Chechnya?

Hello there and welcome to SDF. It's good to have an Iraq War veteran here. I don't think we have any. First hand experience is the best evidence you can use to back up and arguement when it comes to military matters. So I look forward to hearing what you have to say.

Yes it was tough I witnessed alot of abuse there like most reports state but I overcame it and in the end it was worth it. As for Chechnaya I did serve because we dont really have an option if we want to go there or not. Im glad I made it out alive :)
