BYD Shark export in 2024 surpassed 11k and now it is causing concerns with Ford, Toyota and GM.

From the CNBC link in your tweet, Goldman Sachs is projecting 5.5m sales for BYD in 2025, which would put them in the vicinity of General Motors. Are there any indications as to what BYD's own targets or projections are for this year?

probably similar amount.


Geely is very interesting here, they are getting into methanol PHEVs. I'm not sure what the demand for this is since you need methanol refueling stations, but they are going there.

From what I understand, methanol isn’t very good for cold-starts, and it also produces more wear on the engine through chemical reactions. I’m curious as to what they did to make this reliable enough for consumers.
