who cares what they think? BYD will be at 10 million a year by then. China won't even be selling ICE cars by then. Does anyone think BYD can't capture 40% of China's domestic market?I hope Changan becomes the Hyundai-Kia to BYD's Toyota
On a side note, Korean research firm predicts that BYD will hit a cap of around 4-5 million by 2028 and get overtaken by Tesla and VW
I think BYD might indeed hit a cap if its overseas expansion doesn't work out well, but I wouldn't be making any predictions so soon. Koreans just want to see BYD fail.
And I just don't see Tesla being a 8 million company. GM and Ford won't let that happen.

BYD will eventually expand into the US market. Do you think China is going to continue letting Tesla, Ford, GM sell in China if Chinese brands aren't allowed in the US?I hope Changan becomes the Hyundai-Kia to BYD's Toyota

Impressive, but it will be more impressive when it's mostly Chinese brands being exported. The vast majority right now seems to be Tesla and some western brands (or those western brands acquired by Chinese companies who uses their brand value to export overseas). Chinese brands should focus on building their own brand value overseas. In this regard I believe BYD is the best Chinese car brand, as they rely 100% on their own brand, and in-house development, they will be Teslas biggest threat globally. I don't see other Chinese in-house brands challenging Tesla and BYD that much globally.A financial analyst talks about China's EV market.
I think it's possible. Many Chinese companies have been banned in the US and other Western countries, yet I don't recall any American or western company being banned in return due to that. I think the Chinese government is quite pragmatic, open and business friendly actually. They don't want to send the wrong signal to investors and foreign businesses from investing in China. They want to get all the investments they can get , which is a good thing. The government always look at the bigger picture.BYD will eventually expand into the US market. Just say modern EV are like spy stations on wheels with the whole array of sensors they contain. I think already did that with banning teslas from military bases.I think it's possible. Seems it will be a Tesla vs BYD motor world this decade as I said earlier. The rest have alot of catch-up to do.huge jump in profit for both BYD itself and it's electronics unit
I will need some time to provide more info
