large investment into ESS production by BYD. Not sure what the production capacity will be but it will require a lot of investment into automation tools and will produce ESS for home, industry and large scale projects using blade battery technology

Oh man, I remember many years back I read a lot of bitching about the mediocrity or ineptitude of Chinese car manufacturers. The popular cope back then is that China will 弯道超车 by skipping straight to electric cars.
It's rare to see a cope come true in real time, the next step would be accelerating the obsolescence of fossil fuel cars, I expect a lot of "Um actually, electric cars aren't good for the environment" papers in the coming years, which would be pushed extremely hard by the conservative troglodytes.
