A Chinese company wants to build a charging pile factory in the US.

CATL net income in 2022 (it also spent about 5% of net income on R&D):

I hope power retractable steps will be available for BYD's U8 and the hardcore 4x4 from the F brand, because both seems to have rather tall step-in height. The F-brand SUV is claimed to have 680 hp, starting at $58,000, and will compete with MB G-class.

It is funny to see that the Biden administration is forced to come out to say that the US needs China for EVs production but senators and congressmen don't seem to take the clue. It is like the administration was forced to rescind the ban on getting Chinese made solar panels that assembled in SEA nations. US is laggard in both renewable and EVs but American politicians just refuse to acknowledge.

If it’s really 680hp at 58K, it is a class of its own

Personally, I don't hope Chinese EV companies to go to the US. Simply because the US is not a reliable partner, especially to Chinese enterprises.
