China's battery industry is really moving forward in leaps and bounds. A battery company called Welion just started the construction of a factory for hybrid solid-state batteries and solid-state batteries, with a goal of 100 GWh a year eventually, enough to supply more than 2 million passenger EVs a year.

The first phase of the project is designed to have an annual capacity of 20 GWh of hybrid solid-liquid electrolyte cells and all-solid-state batteries and will go into production this year, according to WeLion.
