Love how neither Zeekr and GWM are even top tier in the Chinese EV market. You know it’s dominance when your B players are A+ players in a different market.

IMO, the most relevant section is the comparison with the Afeela. The Chinese manufacturers are trying to innovate beyond the car itself, these are the features that draw the most attention. Looks like the Afeela got some of the entertainment features, but failed on the battery side.

The Xiaomi Su7 is getting so many rave reviews because it is fast, sporty, long range, and has all those "smart" features like turning on appliances/lights from the car or view video feeds from the home.

Zeekr is definitely upper tier, especially if you count Geely as a whole, but agree with the overall sentiment.

Note that the Google/Waymo/Zeekr Robotaxi was shown. I read an analysis that estimated the total to be around $150,000-$200,000. They said that it should be profitable based on this, but obviously would change if it is not exempted from 100% tariff.
