Surprised I haven't seen any discussion on the latest news. Apparently there are rumors going around on the internet that that PLA destroyed 3 KIA battalions on May 2nd using drones.

The source is these rumors seem to be three purported posts from Weibo:

What do you guys think? Is there any truth to this?
A battalion is like 500 guys, if 1500 guys died there'd be hours of footage of 100s of drones

Fighting in Northern Shan has resumed between the TNLA and their Mandalay PDF allies and the Junta. The ceasefire is broken between now between the TNLA and Junta. We will see how the MNDAA will respond.

TNLA spokesperson says MNDAA will take part of 1027 again.

The Irrawaddy conducted an interview with TNLA spokeswoman Nway Yay Oo on Friday.

Most interesting question asked is in my opinion this: Which armed groups are now involved in Operation 1027?

"Operation 1027 is the same as before. Besides the Brotherhood Alliance, there are resistance groups, including Mandalay People’s Defense Force (PDF), PDFs in Mogoke and ethnic Danu resistance forces. The Arakan Army is fighting in Rakhine State. The Myanmar National Democratic Alliance Army is joining the fight against the junta in Nawnghkio."

It was unclear if the MNDAA would partake but according to this spokesperson they will soon join the fight. Only thing is find weird is how they will partake in the offensive in Nawnghkio which is furthest away from their territory.

Let's see if the Brotherhood Alliance can take Lashio.

Supposedly authorities in Yunnan have now reportedly cut power, water, and internet to Laukkaing in response to the MNDAA's attempt to encircle the regime-controlled city of Lashio.

Interesting since Chinese ambassador just met Min Aung Hlaing before he leaves his post. PLA also just started drills in Laos next door.

No confirmation. I also dont think laojie sources water from China, but it might be the effect of not having power for the pumps.
