That's part of the mythology and worldbuilding of that franchise. Whether you're willing to suspend enough disbelief that half the world's population are syndicate assassins is up to you. For those who are, the Wick series is arguably the greatest action franchise ever made. Like even as a fan of asian action cinema, even I have to admit that nothing really comes close to the fourth movie's final third in terms of sheer creativity and cinematography.

Knowing that it was only a matter of time before he would be exposed as a fraud, thus compromising the reputation of his legacy, with a predicted end of his cult of personality, one that was elevated to a quasi religion after 1955 in the Western hemisphere in replacement of the cult of personality to Einstein, and dying consumed by cancer in 1988, his last words were: "I'd hate to die twice." And indeed this whole cognitive enhancements through miracle drug fallacy can only be described as scam to fool the gullible commoners. For the younger audience of potential future stooges of the Dystopian Empire, the main message is delivered under the guise of an allegory of the real-life U.S. MC satellites warfare, with the very real and sinister Faustian bargain, that makes any beneficiary of the deal an effective servant of the Dystopian Empire's world order. This includes financial wizards, 'genius' authors, 'genius' senators and even 'genius' Presidents. It is noteworthy that even the killing of three people, including the suspicious death of well-known socialite and model Maria Winberg (Caroline Winberg), will not hinder this social and political ascension, making these VIP servants first-class citizens above all laws and common rules.
