I enjoyed this movie. It wonderfully illustrates how poverty in India is very much a cultural mentality perpetuated by the rich and powerful as well as the "tyranny of cousins."

Her agent screwed up badly on this one. 10 years ago, this would likely have been widely admired. Today, Chinese people are not going to tolerate a rich brat trying to act like she's better than everyone else.

Of course I just noticed that the author of the article is a known FLG supporter, so take it with a bottle of salt.

If anyone here likes Adam Curtis' Documentaries like "Hyper-Normalization," you might be interested in his new series "I Can't Get You Out of My Head." It's premiering today on the BBC but will likely be available on Youtube and elsewhere for free.

It is normal. If you have the connections, you don't have to be rich to get ahead, although it helps. She did not cheat by bypassing any rule.

Detective Chinatown 3 which just premiered is predicted by box office experts to have a chance to break records set by Avengers: Endgame for the biggest opening week in a single region. It is also predicted that it may become the first film ever to surpass $1 billion USD total in a single region. Hopefully, it will break those records and China's entertainment industry continues to grow.
