I don't know how many of you have already seen this show. Its called The Expanse. its based on a novel series written by James S.A. Corey which is the pen name of the writing team Ty Franck and Daniel Abraham. A great show if you like space opera's. This is the first space opera that I have seen that actually respects newtonian laws (up to a point of course). It has a very complex plot that said to rival Game of Thrones.

Many of the latest superhero movies are starting to feel the same to me despite the distinct Marvel vs DC tone. Kind of like how James Bond movies became like generic action movies. I hope someone makes movies out of the more intellectually interesting comics. I was initially drawn to Alex Ross' artwork but ended up finding Kingdom Come (Alex Ross, Mark Waid) and Uncle Sam (Steve Darnell) two of my all-time favorites.

OK, just got back from BvS. It was fantastic! I loved it!

Although the beginning was a little slow, as Mace mentioned, it didn't feel like a two and half hour movie. I actually wished it could go a little longer.

Although there was no joke or humor in it, it didn't feel doom and gloom at all. It was a serious movie. That's it. Many reviews describe the movie as too self-serious. I understand what they are saying. However, the movie tackles a serious issue. Thousands and thousands people died at the end of Man of Steel. And the current movie deals with the consequences, where many characters in the movie suffered personally. I don't think it would be appropriate to make it lighthearted. Making any jokes about any of the events taking place in the movie might backlash big time with the audience. Similarly, making this movie "more fun" might also backlash when it is meant to specifically draw connection with what happened on 9/11. How can anyone laugh about any of it when so many have died? I think the movie strikes a good balance between seriousness and entertaining.

The last hour or so of the movie was absolutely awesome! The fight scenes, as Mace described, were some of the best. The scale was gigantic and epic. Many iconic scenes of Superman and Batman gave the movie a majestic feel. I definitely felt that I was watching a movies about gods.

Now... Wonder Woman! Amazing! She didn't have many scenes. Yet, she definitely stole the show! She kicked some huge butts!

Has anyone started watching the second season of Daredevil on Netflix? I have finished about 6 episodes and absolutely love it. They introduced some awesome new characters (don't worry. I won't name them). This season is even better than season 1. With the origin story out of the way, it now feels like a full-fledged comic book story. I'm having goosebumps when some of the new characters come out. I feel like I'm back to high school and reading an actual issue of a comics. It's awesome.

In a sense, many good superhero TV shows, like Arrow, Flash, Daredevil, Jessica Jones, even Heroes, have this comic book feel. I was pretty disappointed when they cancelled Heroes only after 4 seasons...

Legends of future tomorrow is a little disappointing to me. They've gathered some awesome actors but I just don't feel the chemistry. It's boring...

On the other hand, I can never get that "comic book" feel when watching the movies... I still love the movies, but not because they remind me of comic books. Mostly, I love them because they blow stuff up, big time! And I love it!

I absolutely loved season 2 (not as much as season 1 though). I felt that Jon Bernthal killed it as the Punisher, not only in the intimidation factor but also humanizing him in such a way that the viewer could relate to him. The main problem was that the story lacked focus. At times I felt that there were too many threads going on simultaneously.

They really upped the violence factor this season. I thought the arm grinder scene in Jessica Jones was bad... Boy was I in for a surprise this season. None of it felt gratuitous though given the source material.

Just came back from Batman v. Superman. I was entertained. The action was good. That was the best part. It wasn't the greatest superhero movie but I'd say it was better than Man of Steel. The major problem came at a lull that started about 30mins in and went on more than a half hour. Just a lot of talk. The movie was something like 2hrs 31mins. That lull made it feel like a longer movie. I agree they should not have released the 3rd trailer. It would've probably made the movie more of a surprise. I do like Ben Affleck's Batman. He kills people and he scares everyone even the police. His fight scenes were better than most of the Batman movies of the past. There were some minor things that didn't make sense that may have been because they cut something out. Maybe the rated-R director's cut will fill in some holes. They probably could've done a better job editing the movie.

Definitely gonna give this a chance based on your recommendations! Was a little disheartened by the reviews but will probably check it out in theater after the exam.

Ok I might watch B vs S just to see Wonder Woman.;) But I still HATE Ben Afleck!

From what I've heard (even from haters), Ben Affleck was the best part of the movie and may actually be the best live action Batman to date.

Affleck was very good, one of the best in fact. I'm still debating who would be the best Batman, Bale or Affleck. He didn't have the flash of Bale, but I think that was intentional. He definitely presented a mature, intelligent, powerful and even intimidating Batman. I think the intent was to have a mature Batman who has passed the playboy stage and now is all business. And Affleck did a kick-ass job. Throughout the entire movie, not one moment when I would think "man! He looks weird as the Batman..." No! Now when I think of Batman, it's Affleck's face in my mind.

Yeah but before or after he messed up Dare Devil! It's easier for any body to have 2nd chance at playing a super hero after a major flop and everyone talks bad about it. Christian Bale is by far still the best Batman....PERIOD.:);) Ben Afleck is still too dorky of a man to be playing Batman IMO.

My man! It's time to let go of the past.

Yes, Affleck made a mess of Daredevil. However, was Affleck the only one to blame? It's the director's job to make a good movie and how each character should behave. It's the screenwriters' job to tell the actors what to say. How much of it was Affleck's fault and how much of it was the director's? Daredevil was a horrible movie. Everyone involved should bare the blame, not only Affleck. If only one person must take responsibility, it should be the director. He/she is the commander in chief for a movie.

Even if it was all Affleck to blame, everyone makes mistakes. Even Einstein made a mistake of not accepting quantum mechanics. Michael Jordan, one of the most brilliant basketball players on the planet, missed at least half of his shots even in his prime. It's unfair to define a person based on a single mistake he/she makes. Affleck is a brilliant entertainer. He's won plenty awards including Oscar's.

IMO, Bruce Wayne is a geek. He must be a super geek to rely on high tech gadgets so much.

You should probably check out the director's edition of Daredevil first. No Netflix Daredevil, but still a decent flick.
