Anyone hear about "The Screening Room?" You buy a set top box for a $150 and you can watch movies at home at the same time as they're released in theaters. Catch is it cost $50 a movie. I can see why theaters would be up at arms at this but unless you have a large family going to the movies all the time, who's going to pay $50 for a movie?

People who either hate noisy people at theaters or are noisy theater patrons themselves?

I wouldn't mind getting one myself.

And thought here the last time I went to the movies it was $8.00 for an adult, that was the early bird special that discounts. Now you think about an American family say the traditional nuclear model 2 Adults and say 2 children then add in the over charge of snacks say three buckets of popcorn at $7.00, $3.00+ for a soft drinks and of course candy and refills you're easily laying down $50.00 a movie.

So if your going to shell out money like that and you have a home theater I say order a pizza and stay at home. At least then you're probably not going to be dealing with half the problems.

I just bought tickets for Batman vs. Superman on 03-25 for $5.40/ ticket. We have the Happy Friday off. So we will be taking advantage of the early bird discount.:D:rolleyes:

We usually don't buy any food at movie theaters.

And I don't think I would be interested in the screening box thing. For any movie, for which I am willing to pay that kind of money to watch, I will definitely want to buy BDs later on. That's another $20-30/ movie. So I will have to spend close to $100 for a movie that I like. That's the kind of money that I will never be willing to spend.

Even though I am probably going to see it in theater any way, please give a review once you've seen it!

First, comic book based movies have held R ratings before. Blade, Judge Dredd, The Punisher and Spawn. The reson DP got an R was not a gimmick it was being somewhat loyal to the source material. (I say somewhat because being blunt DP comics could easily go NC17).

I've heard Deadpool had to be edited down to just make into R.

The new Spiderman is Tom Holland a young english actor of the ripe old age of 19. He replaces Andrew Garfield for the role. This means that Marvel like Sony before it is looking to a Young Peter. This is a complaint among some spiderman fans same as many batman fans. Why do you keep killing Uncle Ben/ The Waynes? Why is it that Peter Parker never graduates or seems to keep jumping into continuing education. I mean sure he's a science geek but normally you max out at a PH.D. or a Sc.D which should end his schooling in about his mid to late 20's. given this the Movie parkers should have moved on.
Peter parker like any person has to eventually leave high school, He's not a freshman when he got his spider powers so max he can be in high school is three years. then comes collage which is why he started working for the Daily Bugle. and eventually Peter graduates. Infact alot of the Spiderman comics take place after Peter has moved out of School and moved on to build an Adult life so why in the name of hell do they keep making him a kid?

I myself have enjoyed the after high school/college life of spidey and would like to see the character finally move forward and break the loop. But Sony needs to stop rebooting him every 3 movies.

Marvel is now calling the shoots on Sony's Spider Man movies so that spidey can fit into the MCU which is forcing the need of another reboot. But according to some outlets they're going to skip the origin part and jump in after the death of uncle Ben as a high school senior of college freshman. For the MCU this would be their first young adult character(time to get that tween money) since all the characters being portrayed in the MCU are all supposed to be in their late 20s and early 30s and older(Cap and Fury).

Now if the Marvel/Sony Spidey is successful and we see more than 3 spidey movies we cane finally see character grow and grow up married to MJ and all the stuff that comes with it.

I'm planning to watch Batman v. Superman tomorrow night. I've been hearing and reading disappointment from those who've already seen it. So either it's going be worse than what I've heard and read or it's going to be at least good because most of the reviews come from people who loved Force Awakens.

That's assuming they don't reboot the universe after Infinity Wars (which I hope not...). But I really wonder how they'll handle the character aging aspect. Unlike in actual comics, you don't have a floating timeline. When Robert Downey Jr. ages Tony Stark also ages in universe. Are they going to pass on the mantle Bond style or to completely new characters?
