4000 is a bit low by Guangzhou standards, especially if they have to work "18 hours". I highly suspect it was intentionally misreported.

You can earn around 5-6k easily in an electronics factory at fixed 12 hours a day.

My criticism is more pointed to the fact that they use different currencies to confuse the readers, something like 18p per garment and 825 AUD per month. It's nowhere near minimum wage in any kind of Western country, but even if it's low, like you can live on it in China, especially if you are provided with the dorm.

I'm guessing it's partly because of intensifying Western media propaganda, but also how easily the US has been able to coerce its vassals to give up their resources, technologies and market shares. Not helped by China's unresponsiveness to US economic attacks.

Noticed this change isn't reflected in BRICS nations, though.

This is not surprising:
I dare to say that by the time China becomes the number 1 economy in nominal terms (China became the number 1 economy in PPP terms in 2014), some PEW surveys will still show the US as number 1. It just tells you how biased and worthless PEW surveys can be sometimes.

Their visit comes days after the armed services committees of both the House of Representatives and Senate approved the 2024 NDAA, which calls for joint military exercises with Taiwan and comprehensive training of the island’s forces.

A very pro-US article like many of the articles that appear in the Hongkong paper of 'record' but with useful snippets of information.
Tsai is just confusing lip-service with real security.

Unfortunately, honest reporting about China is rare in Western MSM nowadays.
As if a country working hard to provide for 1.4 billion of its citizens has nothing better to do with their time, why would they even bother with those who criticise? It honestly makes no logical sense, and the most logical explanation is that these threats came not from the CPC, but could have been anyone. China is already speeding ahead, so why would they be concerned about little issues like this?

The last point in the article is accusing China of illegally operating “police stations”, of which the Australian police agencies deny their existence. In fact, these were Chinese community centres which were opened to assist its citizens during the pandemic and have since ceased operation. Let us not be so quick to forget how horrendous the racism towards Chinese was during the pandemic either.

That young ''move forward" leader is bad news. Joshua Wong vibes and Harvard educated so likely extremely pro US and NED funded. I do not like this development even one bit. Several more American military bases + another hostile country incoming it seems.

------------------------------
Move Forward's Pita Limjaroenrat speaks, confirming that he has talked to parties including Pheu Thai, Prachachart, Thai Sang Thai and the Thai Liberal Party. He says this puts his budding coalition in line for 308 seats. He adds that he is now in talks with another small party to get to 309 seats. "With this formula, it is clear that we have a full right to form a majority government," Pita says.

He says Move Forward, Pheu Thai and other parties have already set up a transition team.

He also issues a message for the 250 military-backed senators, whose votes have the power to sway the choice of prime minister. "It is time for the 250 senators to think and decide their stance, whether they would listen to the people's wish. If they care about the people, there will be no problem" for Move Forward to eventually form a majority government.
