You get into Princeton and Stanford, do a PhD, write seven different books, spend your life trying to defend the rights of the Chinese American community and improve China-US ties, and then you find out you're stuck with the same name as a famous hanjian laughingstock.

That’s true. US wants to lecture China all the while stepping up sanctions. And then say not talking risks accidental military clash. Loll.

But China also sees that risk as lower than US does. If China genuinely believed there’s high risk of military clash in the short to medium term, it would not refuse mil-to-mil dialogue.

What is worst is that instead of dealing with the waste spending of these military contractors US politicians prefer to give them a rise and say is a "debt reducing deal". What a joke and the Democrats are so cucked, pathetic and weak that is now embarrassing

Biden caved into every Republican rhetoric that doesn't involve BLM and LGBT. If we be specific to China, he did a U-turn from the lifting of the tariffs, joined the outrage over the supposed spy balloon, entertained a TikTok ban, accused the Wuhan lab of leaking the virus, blamed China for increased drug use, etc... All Republican points. Not that the Biden admin is not hawkish on its own but whenever they try to brake hostilities Republicans whip up a hysteria and Biden admin caves in every single time. This is why I don't see any improvement in Sino-US relations any time soon.

Biden caving into this too is not surprising

Its been causing some backlash from Pakistan and Nepal. The Indian Minister of External Affairs said that that is a map of the ancient Asokan Empire, and it represents India's idea of "responsible and people-oriented governance that Ashoka adopted and propagated". Other Indian politicians say that that mural represents India's resolve for "Akhand Bharat". Needless to say, Bangladesh, and Bhutan might be concerned too, as they are included within the same map. There are pieces of South Tibet and probably Aksai Chin in there, but China shouldn't be too concerned because it is in a different league of national power compared to India.
