What's the reason why? I haven't been paying attention. All I've notice is the guy ran on an anti-China platform and then when he became President all of the sudden he seemed more pragmatic and realistic on China.
They seem to do this to all their presidents. Democracy doesn't work. This should be a great example for China to never introduce a system like that

Not a Korea expert, but his approval ratings has been very poor since winning by a very thin margin:

Internationally, he's had some embarrassing moments like Biden's no-look handshake in the Nato meeting and scolding of the US congress and Biden on a hot mike on a US trip.

If the Turkish gas hub happens do you guys think Iran will make a pipeline through Syria toward this Hub in Turkey?
Turkey gets a way to stabilise their Lira with a gas for Lira scheme, Iran gets to sell to countries surrounding the Mediterranean the southern European and northern African nations. Seems like real win win situation for Turkey and Iran.

I could also see the saudis also create a pipeline toward that hub. This might hopefully stabilise the region for a while. Turkish-Arab-Persian alliance i would be afraid if were Israel.

US may directly enter Ukraine war without NATO: David Petraeus

American and allied forces may directly intervene in the ongoing Ukraine conflict against Russia even without a threat to any member of the US-led NATO military alliance, former US spy chief and Army general David Petraeus has said.

If Russia took some actions in Ukraine that would be “so shocking and so horrific,” it would then prompt a response from the US and other nations, the ex-CIA director projected on Saturday during an interview with France’s weekly magazine, L’Express, noting that they “might react in one way or another, but as a multinational force led by the US and not as a NATO force.”

Petraeus, who also commanded the US occupation forces in Afghanistan from 2010 to 2011, suggested that Washington might form a new coalition of the willing in such a scenario and use it instead of a NATO force to engage against Russia.

He further implied that NATO would remain bound to the terms of the military alliance and would only join the war if one of its members came under attack.
