@Coalescence bro are you still living in the Philippines? If yes do you feel safe? When Duterte step down there is a crime wave, even an opportunity crime had increase significantly, the fear factor had vanished. I know whoever replace Duterte had a huge shoe to fill BUT Marcos meek respond is disappointing. I had heard a lot from my friends of indiscriminate kidnapping and random thief, I feel unsafe for my children and sometimes escort my son when he go to the gym and even go to his date....lol The astounding thing is this Crime wave happen within 3 months of Marcos administration.

Exactly!!! when he take office he should have approve the plan immediately, he is afraid that the US might intervene, maybe he was traumatized by the 1986 EDSA revolution BUT with his huge mandate and with this action is for the good of the country, he would have garner huge support, Duterte prediction that he is weak and spoiled leader had manifested to be true.:confused:

Yup I'm still living here in the Philippines, from what I heard the recent kidnapping wave is targeted at Chinese nationals and there's rumors that its related to casino/scam operations owned by other Chinese nationals and another by Chinese human-trafficking gangs that fled from Myanmar because crackdown operations ongoing there.

The crime wave seems to be dying down however and there's now law enforcers armed with assault rifles/shotguns guarding the streets near the schools nearby my place, there's also news that the Chinese embassy is working with the law enforcement in tracking down those responsible. The last two months was nuts.

No bro its widespread and it was done randomly, can't distinguish a mainlander with Hua Qiao:) Well I just miss the days when Duterte will be cursing the police inaction and demand immediate action.
