No particular sources because that's an unpopular topic in Russia, for obvious reasons you won't see anything about that in state media and I don't trust various lib media without videos or images. My words are primarily based on rapid changes in the tone and content from major local Instagram, Telegram, etc. accounts\chats. For example, IG account "asiansofrussia" (+ TG version) who mostly used to post about culture and instances of anti-Asian racism in Russia got persecuted for his posts about disproportionate deaths of soldiers from minority regions during the start of the war, then had to leave Russia & now posts heavy anti-Russian content and it has a huge following. Many local chats started boiling after instances like this - (father of 5 got drafted despite having 0 experience) or this - (taking students from the university despite pledging not to do that like 1 day ago). Another indicator is how many activists who were before mostly talking about instances of racism now went to full secessionist mode and are gaining followers despite the fact that this topic was pretty unpopular not too long ago.

Plus e.g. Buryatia borders Mongolia and I posted links to traffic jams on that border earlier, many people are trying to flee. There wasn't as much panic during the start of the war.

The Russian foreign minister presented a long list of human rights violations by Kiev that went ignored by various European and global human rights groups, from “burning books, just like in Nazi Germany” to using banned ‘petal’ land mines against civilians this summer.

“Such outrages became possible and remain unpunished due to the fact that the US and its allies, with the connivance of international human rights institutions, have been systematically covering up the crimes of the Kiev regime for eight years, basing their policy towards [Ukrainian President Vladimir] Zelensky based on the well-known American principle: he may be a son of a bitch, but he is our son of a bitch,” said Lavrov.

Moscow has shared evidence demonstrating that the West has sought to turn Ukraine into a forward outpost that could threaten Russia’s security, Lavrov told the UN. “I can assure you, we will not let that happen.”

There’s a certain sense of cold hearted schadenfreude I feel re the buryats as I do towards the mongols and other former denizens of previous Chinese empires; these guys chose to become a part of the Russian empire, well suck it up and enjoy being cannon fodder as the non white draftees for mother Russia today. Your debunked story is based on some Twitter posts, while info on other borders comes from other sources. You are just trying to salvage your first post by clinging to one separate piece. If you want to believe that no one is leaving and everything is great, then keep thinking that way, lol. Are you in Russia right now?

@Chevalier - Buryats neither chose to become a part of the Russian empire (they got conquered and colonized) nor they were denizens of the late Chinese empires, most of them at least, since there were some nomadic tribes in the Qing steppes and some actually later immigrated to China after the revolution (there is a sizeable community in Hulun-Buir, for example). They mostly inhabited territories near the lake Baikal where the Chinese empires had little influence even during the Yuan dynasty due to the policies by Mongol rulers and the generally extremely sparse population there. I mean even modern Buryatia has less than 1 million people (60-70% are Russian) living there.

Today, all the Ukrainian and Western propaganda is thundering about the protests in Moscow. It turns out that there are only 2000-3000 protesters in Moscow, a city of 11 million.

The other day in Vienna and Brussels, which are cities with ten times less population than Moscow, there were over 15,000-20,000 thousand protesters against energy prices. In the Czech capital Prague (population 1.3 million) a protest was held with over 100,000 protesters. But the Western media is conveniently silent and unimpressed by these numbers and protests, but today they brazenly hyped the measly protest with 2,000 protesters in Moscow, a city of 11 million.
