Formal announcement:
After a US lady visited Taiwan island, the CATL cancelled the plan to build a lithium iron phosphate storage battery factory in US.
Now, they decided to build this factory in the Debrecen city, Hungary. This factory will provide battery and other products to European electronic bus, the total investment of the project will not exceed €7.34 billion. Once the factory finished building, it will be the largest battery factory in Europe.

Why is Hungary an ideal location for battery production? I looked it up and it appears Samsung and SK also built battery factories in Hungary.
It's said to be because of Hungary's good location (in the centre of Europe), it has highly educated workers

Weird. I though the American factory was because they wanted to have a foot in the NAAFTA market. Hungary is for serving the European market.
At most I was expecting a change from the US to Mexico which makes more sense in my opinion if CATL's intention was to enter the north American market

Bro look at this at Chinese POV, we have the largest market, why would we help you as the restriction are being place on my product and maybe in the future they might nationalized the factory. For god sake we're Chinese, we have our pride, If we're not welcome then we deal with the ROW as shown by Huawei. We can grow without you....lol Is my sentiment correct @Loveleenkr , I wish to hear your opinion badly.
A side note let's see what the American company will do, will they not use Chinese component to claim Federal Subsidies or its better to use them as the cost balance it out with cheaper and more reliable components. Because $7,500 subsidies ain't much as the quality and design of Chinese EV is way better than its American competitor even Tesla.
