Tesla semi abandoned? Solar failed? When?
Maybe he mixed it up with a different green company by accident. Nikola? Lol. Tesla Semi isn’t slated for production until 2023 and Solar City was merged into Tesla Energy. They both have separate pages on Tesla website. So it exists.
Tesla Semi was announced 2017, supposed to come out in 2019. They started taking preorder money. It is now 2022. The time is going to triple from 2 years after announcement to 6 years after announcement... If it comes out at all.
Solar failed:
They're also getting sued by Amazon and Walmart due to defective panels causing fires.
They're also in trouble with SEC for fraud re: solar city purchase.
Note they don't even fab their own wafers, they just assemble Panasonic wafers into modules.
Nobody else has a problem with Panasonic wafers, just Tesla, proving that it's their problem.
Then you have build quality issues in general which supports that view.
Tesla cars aren't known for their build quality either.

Turkey has world class infrastructure. People like Bill Gates and so many others do vacation there. They also can manage complex engineering operations and physical products. but they have leadership that is emotional and dont understand priorities. for example They wasted decades on drones and light attack helicopters (which they should have continued bought from Israel and Italy) but not iota of investment building Civil airline industry.
They keep expanding size of Turkish airline without any plan how to deal with dependency on West. because when the primary driver of employment that is connected to Tourism is depended on foreign engineering it creates pressure points that impact decisions.

It's funny, even in China with better build quality that is exported to Europe, Tesla got convicted of fraud.
