Maybe not breaking news in that this sort of shit has been going on for decades, but there are a number of notable points about this story.
Firstly, isn’t the judiciary supposed to be independent of the executive branch? Oppst, guess they let that cat out of the bag that it’s all just more BS lies and the Supreme Court can and does seek direction from the White House when hearing cases of any real significance.
Secondly, it’s remarkable have blatantly racist American society is, towards Asian Americans for actively discriminating against them, and against blacks for blatantly saying they too stupid to get into Harvard fairly and need to be given disability like special consideration cause they be black.
But it’s funny who they decide to cut Asians to make room for blacks while Asians in Harvard are still a minority and at no point did they ever consider cutting back on whites to make room.
In a way this is a very neat microcosm for how the racist white American society at large works. The white’s share is guaranteed and the colours need to fight each other for the table scraps they throw the colours out of ‘charity’. That served the dual purpose of allowing the whites to virtue signal and feel good about themselves while also installing the ‘correct’ mentality amongst the coloureds that other colours are the enemy and competition. That sort of mentality might explain the disproportionate percentage of anti-Asian racists attacks carried out by blacks. And before anyone starts, that’s hardly new either. Back during the LA riots, the black mobs went after the Koreans not the white Karens.
With respect to the LA riots, that was very complicated. The senseless, hateful and unpunished-by-law killing of Latasha Harlin happened the year before. She was murdered by a Korean lady. It has strong parallels with the murder of Vincent Chin, including the judge’s ruling.
You’re right, divide and conquer has been around since time immemorial. They started out with white slaves as well, when that didn’t work, indentured labourers with a promise of a tiny parcel of land afterwards - which of course, with no capital, labour and the tiny size, would be subsequently bought back by the master. Then they became overseers (amongst the most vicious on plantations, needing to exert dominance, as the only thing differentiating them from a slave was their skin - so that’s how you get 96% of AA’s with white genes). Nowadays, In many former slave states the largest employers are companies like Walmart, that together with the infantry, alt-Right and fentanyl does the job today.
In Robben Island prison (Apartheid South Africa), the prisoners were given better and bigger portions of food, according to the lightness of their skin - in an effort to create wedges between the various tribes of black, black, Indian, Jewish and white political prisoners. It even extended to the length of their pants, with tiny school boy shorts for blacks (again, another classic tool - patronising, like an 8yr old calling a 70yr old waiter “boy”, in the Jim Crow South), all the way to full length trousers for whites, with everyone else falling in between, depending on melanin concentration.
Also, I think your hunch is on the right track, as to why many of the perpetrators are African American. It is exactly the system and the onslaught of the last 400 years that has done this to them. In fact, for example, first to second generation African (descent) Americans can actually be considered a model minority, along with Asians and Indians in America. If the colleges are doing this to address said history, well they’re failing, just take a cursory glance at the surnames of a sizeable portion of those black Ivy League entrants (you’ll find few Johnsons, Jacksons and whatever other names the overseers and rapist masters had). Which is why African Americans also have some issues with Africans, these days, even going all the way to representation in Hollywood (too many Ejiofors, Elbas, Kaluuyas, Nyong’os etc.).
This is what you get when you systematically oppress, subjugate dismantle and destroy the culture, community and identity of a people for half a Millenia.
